What decides the price
Two identical trees can differ hugely in cost. One stands in an open paddock and can be felled whole. The other sits between a conservatory and a boundary wall and has to come down piece by piece, with every section lowered on ropes.

- Whether it can be felled whole or dismantled in sections
- Distance from buildings, cables, glass and boundaries
- Access for a chipper and for removing the timber
- Stump: left, ground out or dug out
