Domestic clearance

Garden clearance for overgrown and neglected gardens

We clear overgrown gardens for homeowners, landlords and families sorting out a property, including in and around Bury St Edmunds. Brambles, long grass, self-sown saplings, old garden rubbish and green waste are cut, gathered and taken away, leaving a garden you can actually use.

Overgrown garden clearance

Gardens get away from people for all sorts of reasons: a busy few years, an illness, a property standing empty. Once brambles and saplings take hold, a weekend with a strimmer rarely gets on top of it. We cut back the growth, dig out woody roots where they would quickly regrow, and uncover the paths, beds and lawn underneath.

Because the ground is often hiding things, the work goes carefully at first. Old edging, buried rubble and forgotten steps are found by hand before anything heavier is used.

Rubbish clearance from the garden

Alongside the green waste, many neglected gardens collect old pots, broken furniture, timber and general clutter. We can take this away in the same visit as the clearance, so you are not left with a cleared garden and a pile of junk by the gate. Tell us what is there when you ask for a quote so the right vehicle and capacity are planned.

End of tenancy garden clearance

Landlords and letting agents often need a garden put back into a lettable state between tenants. That usually means a cut back of hedges and shrubs, lawn edges restored, beds weeded and any left items removed. Where a regular arrangement suits better afterwards, our garden maintenance plans can keep it from slipping again.

  • Hedges and shrubs cut back
  • Lawn cut and edges restored
  • Beds weeded and cleared
  • Left items and waste removed

What happens on the day

We agree access, where waste will be loaded and anything you want kept, such as a particular shrub or a set of pavers. The garden is then worked through in order, cutting first, then clearing, then a final rake and sweep so you can see what you have.

Garden clearance or site clearance?

If the job is a normal house garden that has become overgrown, this page is the right one. If it is a building plot, a paddock or ground that needs digging out and grading with a tracked machine, our site clearance service is the better fit. Not sure? Send photos and Craig will say which it is.

What decides the price

Clearance is quoted from photos or a visit. The main things that shape the price are the size of the garden, how dense and woody the growth is, how much rubbish there is to remove, and how easy it is to get material from the garden to a vehicle.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Do you take the rubbish away as well as the green waste?

Yes. Garden rubbish can be removed in the same visit. Let us know what is there when you ask for a quote.

Can you clear a garden at the end of a tenancy?

Yes. We regularly put gardens back into a lettable state for landlords and letting agents.

Will you dig out brambles or just cut them?

Where the roots would quickly regrow, we dig out the woody crowns rather than only cutting the tops.

Do you cover Bury St Edmunds?

Yes. Bury St Edmunds is one of the towns we cover from our base in Brandon.
